Well, mid-December has come and gone and if you’ve been following closely you’ve probably noticed the glaring absence of the Empty Arms paperback. Many of you have been asking me, “When is the paperback going to be available?” To which I keep replying, “Soon. Soon.”
I’m thrilled that so many people are eagerly awaiting the paperback. In fact, that excitement has tempted me more than once to cut some corners to get it out faster. But as I mentioned in my recent interview on Reader Unboxed, the most valuable lesson I’ve learned from this whole experience is to do it right. That means fixing a few typos that three rounds of copy-editing didn’t catch. It means working and reworking the print formatting until it’s flawless. It means revising the cover to add a blurb from one of my favorite authors (more on that later). It means putting my best face forward. So, I ask for your forgiveness and patience as I work toward a January release for the paperback. I assure you, it’ll be worth the wait.
