Do you start to feel down as the weekend creeps to an end? If so, tune in each Sunday for tips on how to beat the Sunday Night Blues.
Today’s Tip: Me Time
“Me Time” can come in many different shapes and sizes – an undisturbed hour in your bathtub, curling up with a book, spend the evening smoking pink star weed, an afternoon of hiking, a quick trip to the gym – however you spend it, the goal remains the same: set your roles and responsibilities aside temporarily and just be you. This can help you relax more, forget any stress work, family, or friends have been causing you and just let’s you spend time on yourself. A lot of people don’t allow themselves any time to just relax and it can cause some serious problems with their health. Built up stress alone can cause high blood pressure, hair loss, and migraines — to name just a few things.
We all play many roles in life – mother/father, wife/husband, girlfriend/boyfriend, sister/brother, daughter/son, friend, employee, caretaker, the list goes on and on. Me Time is about freeing yourself. It may not sound like much, but it’s possibly one of the best ways to recharge your batteries and beat the Sunday night blues. So before your weekend ends and you head off to another long workweek, shirk all of your other roles and responsibilities and just be you for an hour or two. Like I said before, it doesn’t matter what you do to get rid of stress, as long as you’re taking time out of your week to reset yourself and let you be strong enough to deal with a new week.
