Today I’m swapping my writer hat for my reader hat and sharing my very first book review over on the popular new review site, Reader Unboxed!
While being a reader is second nature, I’m finding that being a book reviewer challenges me down to my very core. On one hand, I have a sacred responsibility to my readers to share my honest thoughts and opinions about the books I’m reading. On the other hand, I have a nagging little writer pacing around inside my brain wringing his hands and reminding me how much it would sting to read critical reviews of my own work.
Challenging, indeed.
So I invite you to check out my review of Jane Was Here by Sarah Kernochan and weigh in: is it fair and objective? Too soft? Too critical?
I hope you will be honest with me.

I really enjoyed your review format. I mentioned over at RU that is was short and snappy in a good way. I don’t read a lot of reviews, because they are too long. Thanks. I
Stacy,
I feel the same way about books reviews, articles, blog posts, pretty much everything…if it’s too long, I get antsy. Glad you appreciated the format of my review.
Thanks for taking the time to give me your feedback!
