Everyone, it seems, is talking about e-Books. Personally, I have remained on the “I love a good old-fashioned paperback” bandwagon. But, the fact that e-books outsold paperbacks on Amazon last month makes me wonder how much longer I can ignore this trend.
So in the interest of learning more about your reading preferences (and experimenting with WordPress’ polling feature), I ask you to please indulge me by taking a quick poll. This will only take about 2 seconds of your time and all results will remain anonymous.

I voted for the “will get on in the next 6 months” – I, too, am a die-hard “love paper books” reader, however, I see the use of a Kindle for other things, too — like when I have to travel by plane and it’s difficult to take along books/magazines with all the weight restrictions. Also, when I “endorse/blurb” a book that I’ve been sent a PDF of, I can upload it on Kindle, and can upload my own manuscript on it to read when out of town.
I buy a LOT of books, but sometimes I’d like to ‘try out’ a book or to support an author who writes books I don’t normally read-so the Kindle book may be less expensive (especially some selfpublished books I’ve bought to support authors -they can be pricey).
As for my regular nightly reading, though – good ole books!
Thanks for sharing, Kathryn! I like your “blended” approach. If I end up purchasing an e-reader, I’d probably adopt a model similar to yours.

I have a nook, but I still buy regular books as well. If anything, I’m buying more books now than I did before.
Interesting, Kim. Many people seem to follow a similar trend. That is, they’re reading e-books, but not exclusively. Thanks so much for sharing!
