In Erika's Dreams

The last day of winter nudged the mercury up over 70, daring me to take an afternoon off, tempting me to go outside.

All around me: life.

Frogs croaking in ponds, rippling time.

Tree limbs stretching awake.

Sun dancing on chrome,

jumping on water.

Moss hiding its face from the light.

Roots holding hands in anticipation of the new arrivals.

The creek teaching them patience.

Leaves from a forgotten season unable to say good-bye.

River rocks reminding them that change is the only constant.

The first laughter of spring.

On the last day of winter I went out, only to find I’d gone in.

Wow! Impressive photos creatively capturing the feeling of the park and the emergence of spring. Nicely assembled into a poetic story! Awesome.
My favorite is “Roots holding hands…”….would love to make a nice print for you.
Looking forward to more as spring explodes all around us!
